I did call the vet. I don't understand why you guys are jumping to conclusions so quickly.
I just wanted to hear other peoples opinions on this. My puppy is very well taken care of. Thank you

I called my vet when my pup kept having the runs. He said Kaopectate for her upset tummy. I think it was only like a teaspoon worth - but depending on the size of you pup - it will be different. Call you vet and ask the the best way to be sure.

I don't know about mylanta, but you can use pepto. I would consult your vet for the dosage. Do you know what upset your dog's stomach? There are other things you can give your dog that aren't medications. For instance, if your dog is having diarrhea, you can give him canned pumpkin (not pie filling, just plain pumpkin). They usually love it and it will help to solve some of those problems. If any symptom persist for more than two days, however, you need to take him to a vet. Also, if your puppy hasn't been vaccinated for parvo, then I would take him to the vet now because the sooner they are treated, the better their chance for survival (the symptoms first present as vomitting and diarrhea.

How do you know he has an upset stomach? Is he vomiting? Does he have diareha? For how long? Does he eat? Is he drinking water?

These are questions that your veterinarian will ask you, then HE will prescribe the medication and or feeding instructions for your pet. Do not give him anything on your own. Call the doctor first.

Why isn't that the obvious choice?

All medication should be prescribed by a veterinarian and any dosages should be approved by your vet. Never give your dog medication that isn't prescribed or approved, you could make it ill.

Yes; I am a dog breeder and have given it to my own dogs on countless occassions! But as mentioned a SMALL dose; about 1cc per 10 pounds will do it.

good lord no, call your Vet and ask them the correct dosage of a LITTLE bit of Pep-to. Notice I said a LITTLE bit? Besides that, you should actually TAKE the pup in to find out the problem.

I don't know about Mylanta...But I do know Keopectate is safe. You can give a tsp. every three hours...depending on the size of your dog.
