Just because it isnt recongnized with the AKC doesnt mean they arent a breed. There are plenty of breeds that the AKC hasnt recognized because they are new or they havent been shown tons of interest here in the USA. & If people agree that the mini aussie is in fact a breed, why not the toy? I understand some people seem to think that you'd have to introduce smaller breeds with the mini to get a toy, but this isnt true for all toys. To me, that just shows irresponsible dog breeding. I guess my point is that no, I didn't "waste my money" on my toy aussie. Toy aussies do have an oraganization to be registered with, & are working hard to become part of the AKC. As far as for the people who think that I need to "get rid of" or "not even bother" breeding these wonderful little dogs, I'd say stop being ignorant & realize these dogs are a breed, and are not "mutts".
