I don't mean blantalaly ,but if 75% of crimes are done by minorities, i don't think its all that bad to use racial profiling, with a probable cause of course.

The words evoke such negative connotations in policing that they are not even to be spoken.

But the use of profiling is still being used in policing. For instance you see a poorly dressed man in a neighborhood of affluent families. What would you do? Of course you'd stop him and ID him. Does this mean he'll be arrested? I don't think so unless you have probable cause to do so.

The idea is to look at the circumstances for what they are. If it doesn't match up to what's supposed to be then get out of the car and check it out. Does that make it wrong? No it's just good policing.

I think it works a lot of the time, but not in all cases.

I read an article about why cab drivers in cities don't like to pick up minority people at night. They said because the vast majority of robberies were done by minority people. So the minorities that aren't robbers suffer, but I can't blame the cab drivers.

And how many elderly white women have ever been terrorists? Yet they're subjected to the same scrutiny as young Muslim men at the airports.

Doesn't make sense to me. It's flaunting common sense in the face of political correctness.

'Profiling' works.

'Racial profiling' is a term used by morons who are opposed to profiling. These idiots feel safe in their own little worlds and don't mind that predators are roaming free. This enables them to FEEL good about the fact that the occasional innocent person isn't inconvenienced. Nice tradeoff, huh?
