I babysit for a 17 month old and she has the same problem so we give her a tooth brush and (infant) eatable tooth paste and she brushes them herself, then i do it for her but theres not really any way to get rid of it her pediatrician said that its normal because there taste buds are startind to expand or something like that. So is that your baby on the picture? Really cute!!!

Not to make it sound worse, but my son has a stuffy nose, he coughs once in a while, and has had a fever on and off for a couple days... and really really reallllllly bad breath!!! I took him to the doctors this morning, and he has strep throat....
But hes only had the bad breath for a couple days.... so if its something thats been ongoing for a while, then it could be something else....

She may have some kind of infection. My 12 month old daughter gets kind of a fruity, sour smell to her breath when she has an ear infection or sinus infection. Check with your doc. Good Luck!

The smell could be from post-nasal drip. Give her pediatrician a call. They'll be able to give you some good suggestions.
