If you were on a 2,500/day calorie diet and lived a sedentary life style and then remain on a 2,500/day diet and add 4 45 minute workouts a week you have to lose weight because you are burning up more calories than the sedentary life was.

45 minutes is the time it takes an average human to start using fat deposits as a respiratory substrate. i.e you start burning fat after 45 mins, at the start you burn glucose. If you continue eating the way you usually do you will not lose weight. You have to format your eating so that you only eat what your body needs and this varies from person to person. And increase the duration and maybe the intensity of the exercise. Good luck!

To figure this out, first you need to know how many calories you eat in a day. That will tell you how many calories you eat everyday to maintain the weight that you are at.
And then all you need to know is: To lose one pound a week, a person must burn 3,500 calories more than are consumed (500 calories per day over the course of a week). For example, reducing calories by 300 per day and increasing daily activity to burn off an additional 200 calories should result in a weight loss of one pound per week.

It depends on how much you are eating and whether those things are healthy for you or not. Refined sugar and flours will keep the weight on and you will never lose it all if you eat these things.
If your diet includes lean protien, fruits, veggies, whole grains and water you will lose if you occasionally splurge but you can't do it everyday.
Also, if the exercise doesn't include at least 25 to 30 minutes of Cardio exercise you will not lose much.

Depends on the exercise. The exercise has to produce more calories than the calories in food that you're eating. And it helps if the calories in the food are lower in carbs.
