No lol thats just the Etiquette way of doing it. I haven't felt like I was being forced we left handers have to conform to what the right handers do like use the right handed scissors and sit in right handed desks for right handed people. I love being left handed though because it's really different and I definitely have different way of thinking!!

Not necessarily, there are times when I reach with my left hand but then I have the audacity to excuse myself for using my left hand. I guess it's just proper protocol to shake with the right hands.

Come on fellow left handers let's start a revolution. No more right hand shaking.

Yes I am and to me it feels different after doing all with my left hand all day long. and usually have to turn side ways as I am facing a wall to shake hands, most times if they are tall I just wave, as I am very petite. Ditto I agree we should start a Left-Handed return on a hand-shake.All in my home Are lefties. we sure do confuse the visiting right-handers..

There are plenty worse struggles us left-handers must endure in our lifetime. But we just get used to it. We use our left hand when we can, and our right hand when we can't use our left. I have never had the urge to switch my mouse to "left" mode. I have used the mouse on the right all my life. I think these kinds of things help us lefties be semi-ambidextrous anyway. So i don't really mind, or even think about it.

Personally, I always thought the right handed shake was just the proper way to shake not because most people were right handed.

If you, as the lefty, stick your hand out first, the righty will be forced to shake with the left hand. It's all about beating the other guy to the draw.

Peace

Actually in some cultures the left hand is considered the toilet hand so it's considered rude to shake with the left.

Nope, I force the right handed people to shake my left. It's funny watching them get all flustered... then I say "sorry I'm left handed" and they just smile.... try it!

I do it without thinking now, the only real struggle I've ever had is when i was in my classes and had to sit in a desk made for right-handed people, i had nowhere to rest my elbow when i was writing!!
