I have a boyfriend of 5yrs and his parents dont like me. There is no specific reason for this. One day they started treating me different. If id call the house his mom will lie and tell me hes not there. I'm forbidded to step foot on the block in which he lives, his mom is always looking outside the window. Ive ran into her at diffrnt occasions and shes embarrassed me in public more than 3 times. Shes even had a girl call my cell to threaten to hurt me and lie about having an affair with my boyfriend. They argue with my boyfriend everyday about being w me. Im tired of it. Its been too long. But were in love and engaged.

If she threatened you, you can call the police and file a report, but on the other hand, have a sit down with your man and his family and find out why. Some mother-in-laws just don't think any girl is good enough for their son, especially if he is an only child. If that fails, your man needs to be a man, and step up...

i'm sure there is a reason for his parents acting this way, you just don't know what it is (or you're just not admitting what it is). if you really want to marry this guy, you better sit down with them and figure out what the deal is, and how you can make it better, otherwise you're going to have a constant strain on your relationship with your bf/husband.

Not for sure but I would be willing to bet that they have a reason for not approving of the relationship. Perhaps you could asked to speak with him parents and asked them why they disapprove of your relationship.

Once you marry, move away and don't talk to them. End of story, if they want to talk to him then they better get a better attitude towards you! I think once they figured out that he was getting seroius about you and that he really loved you, they got jealous. They have serious letting go issues.
