The Scientific community, in all it's scientific glory confronted God one day and said "Hey God, we've split the atom, broke the genetic code and now, finally, we've figured out how to CREATE life from almost nothing..."
To which God replied..."Well then, I propose a contest so we can see who has mastery over what...."
The scientists agreed.
"Okay" God said, "We'll both create a man and whoever has the best creation will be declared the winner of this little contest...."
And with that God picked up a hand-full of dirt from the ground and breathed upon it....Within a few seconds a body began to form, then arms legs and a head...When the dust cleared there was a perfect man standing there smiling up at God...
"Okay " God announced, "Now it's your turn"...
Some of the scientists began to gather up some dirt when God interrupted..."Wait just one dang second!" God scolded "Get your own friggin' dirt!!!"

I rest my case (heehaw!!!)

Hard to say. To say God is real would mean nothing to you, so to address the second part of your question. I dont know if God is real, but it is a possibility, sometimes I think yes, sometimes Im not so sure.

But I do think it comes either from faith or from reason. It cant be proved to any one person by another. Youll come to believe it if you are ready to hear it. Sometimes the more you think about the universe, the more it seems there has to be a mind behind it all. Ive never felt any spiritual inclination, but the few times I have felt it, come after acquiring more knowledge in certain areas, as you go deeper into certain subjects, things start to become clearer, but then again sometimes things become even muddier and less clear, but then they become clearer again. Where it leads, who can say. But I have this sense that understanding in several subject areas and being able to connect them together will help you to see that there may just be a God, and the more subjects you can relate to one another, and the deeper that understanding goes in each subject the better youll be able to connect the whole.

I have this sense that for every thing that has a structure or order, there are a million ways for something to be in disorder. Think of it this way, for every way there is to be considered beautiful, there are 1000 ways not to be. For every structure from an icicle to a tree, that has a geometric and mathematical order to it, there are an infinite number of ways that it could be arranged in a disorderly way.

Anyway, no I cant offer proof. Just a notion.

Yes God is real. I recommend The Case for Christ written by Lee Strobel. He was an atheist until he researched about Jesus and the authenticity of the Bible and Jesus.

Can we use math in proving the existence of God? Actually, yes we can. God has provided the proof through prophecy. No other "holy book" can provide prophecy beside the Bible, and it is the Bible that declares a Creator God.
Dr. Peter Stoner (in an analysis that was carefully reviewed and pronounced to be sound by the American Scientific Affiliation) states that the probability of just eight prophecies being fulfilled in just one person is 1 in 10 to the 17th power. However, Jesus fuflilled 300 specific prophecies. So, mathematically, the odds are in overwhelming favor of the Creator God written in the pages of the Bible rather than in the overwhelming odds against evolution.

God is real. You want proof? Look at a house. Who made that house? Men right? Ok, so who made men? God. It did not evolve from a single cell. this never happened and no one will EVER find prove and make evolution a fact. You know the farther away from biblical times we get, the harder it is to believe in God. Back then, he made miracles to prove to us that this stuff happened. but, how do you know that julius caesar existed? did u have a camera? no, there was so solid proof. but there were written documents that documented his existence. but u dont have to believe what is says, unless there is something that proves it. likewise, the bible was written over a number of years. it also has prophecies that have been fulfilled, and historians and scientists proved it. also, the geographical areas were accurate. and, the bible told us that the earth was round and suggested the idea of gravity hundreds of years before it was proved. when you finally start studying the bible and seeing the prohecies, and see that they are true, you believe the things that you cant see. if you pray to god, and ask him for help to believe in him, he will help you and give his holy spirit and you may feel it. im sorry if i didnt answer the way you wanted me to, but his is true. if you want, i can send you a book on how to determine it. just let me know.

Yes God is real and you want proof? Look in the damn mirror. You are proof of God. Science cannot explain consciousness or the reason for it. There is absolutely no reason why we have a localized "awareness" of ourselves relative to what is not ourselves...for example, you experience your experience (sounds funny) but no one else in your universe does. You decide that you alone are the experiencer so you develop a definition of yourself as being the body you see in the mirror. If you experienced someone else's consciousness you might define yourself differently. This definition of yourself you invent is called the ego. It is actually not real but you will fight and scream arguing that it is. That is okay. Illusion is what it is and won't stand under Truth. Give it time.

Answer from another question:

The reason why we need religion is because we do not realize that humans on themselves can't maintain. That's why God the father exists, we do not fully realize that God's commandments are a sacred laws of virtue; we don't see virtue being sacred. If we in this world applied all the negative things to our lives we as humans will not exist, but if we keep applying everything that is of virtue we will realize we are not only destroying our bodies but also our spirits within, which I believe it's our true and natural selves. We have to realize that we are not only part of the universe but participants of it. We have to magnify the spiritual power within us, but only through righteousness can such power be magnified. All things that are of matter of this world come from pure energy, we are energy, our spirits are energy, we are One in God and God within us. God is Omni potent, Omni scient, and Omni present (in spirit), that is why God is an emotional God. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saint believes that God was once man, but before he became God he found and mastered the spirit within himself. The forefathers of America build this nation under the sacred laws of virtue.

Proverbs: Chapter 8 verse 22-33:

22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor athe highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

I'm afraid you're asking something quite silly... you are asking for physical, natural proof of something that is meta-physical and supernatural, which is the height of irrationality.

That said, there are roundabout ways of proving that there must be some sort of supreme being, by finding areas in which reality contradicts natural law, and therefore necessitates some sort of supernatural intervention. I do not have time to discuss these proofs here, though; if you're truly interested, stop asking silly questions and read Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.

Nope, faith is all we have. Some say the bible was the greatest novel ever written. They say its nothing more than a book. that at the time it was written was the only law. But I still have faith of a greater being.

The popular conception of "God", is some being living some place, with awesome powers who created all that is. Never are their any details because the entire picture is a figment of someones imagination. No details, no reality. How can you believe in something that no one knows the first thing about.
I just love that cop out that they use:

"To those who believe, no explanation is necessary, to those who do not believe, not explanation is possible." If that isn't a cop out, what is?
