I came home after having coffee over at his dad's place. He had been at work so I expected when I got home that he would have been sitting on the couch waiting for me...but when I walked in the door I couldn't see him. Turned out he was down on one knee in the living room. When I walked in the house I couldnt see him on the couch. I walked a couple more steps and could see him beside me...I looked quickly (not expecting him to be where he was...thought maybe he was trying to scare me to be funny!! ) He was down on one knee, holding the ring box in the air (closed) and he said "this is it...this is it....will you marry me?" I think I said "oh my god" about 50 times...I still dont know to this date if I actually said YES!! He had planned a romantic night in Niagara Falls but I got suspicious and told my best friend, who in turn, told my b/f. He asked about 30 girls at work if they would want all romance or be totally surprised and it was unanimous for surprise. So thats what I got because it was 4 months before the intended trip to Niagara Falls. I knew it was coming that Year....just not that early so I was completely surprised (and happy). Sometimes being in the least romantic spot but being completely surprised is the most romantic and memorable proposal you could ask for!

My husband proposed to me at a park beside where I worked at the time. I had picked out my ring a few weeks earlier and I didn't know that it had came in. So it was a surpise in that respect. He picked me up a lunchtime. We went to a picnic table at the park that is usually vacate during the day and ate Long John Silvers. He wrote a beautiful poem and put it with the ring. It was very lovely.

should expect a stupid answer like that from an eagles fan. go cowboys!

i havent proposed this yet, but i am going to take her to st john in the virgin islands. romance her for a few days. make lots and lots of love, then sneak her family and friends to a pre-selected place. havent worked out everything yet cause timing and placing will have to be just right but it will include a sunset, music and a well rehersed proposal full of endearment.

then we would return to the same beach to say our vows.

My fiance proposed to me right when I woke up one morning. He woke up really early so that when my mom woke up he could ask her for her permission (he has never met my dad because he lives 1000s of miles away, but he lives with me and my mother). I woke up to him kindof on one knee because he was so nervous and plus he was leaning against the bed. IT was still sweet...the funniest part about it is we know my ring size...but it was my time of the month and we couldnt get the ring on...it was the same size as another ring i have and i can get on that finger.... it will be something we always remember. :)

This may not get any points, but she proposed to me. Took me alittle by surprise. We were just laying in bed one day and she popped the question.

First my Hubby woke me up and surprised me with a spa day and a great massage followed by lunch and shopping.

THEN took me on a fabulous dinner at the best restaurant in town, we had a private dining area and then he took me down on the pier and pretended that he wanted a picture of the city for our place and then handed me the camera.

When I figured out the camera wouldn't work, I asked for his help and he was on one knee and asked me spend the rest of my life with him.

THEN ...he had a dozen roses in the car and THEN ... when we got home, we had about 200 friends and family members in our condo and everyone had been in on it for about a month.

It was unbelievable and I will never forget it!

3 months after we met he surprised me at a Christmas charity event in front of a crowd of people. I felt as though we were the only two in the room and I said yes. It was great :) We've been married a year now, together for 3.

My husband got off early and came home, he put candy kisses on the floor from the door to the living room, there was a note and roses that said "I kiss the ground that you walk on" then he had a dinner set up with roses and rose petals on the table. When I got to the table there he was on one knee, and asked me to marry him. What girl could say anything but YES to that!!! :)
