"I can't stop thinking about the first one. he is so wonderful and we both agreed to take things slow".
I think there's your answer right there. You can't stop thinking about him (you even made him guy number 1) so you like him more than the second guy.
You agreed to take things slow so there is a commitment there, so if you continuing to see the second guy it is wrong unless guy number 1 knows about the second guy and is OK that you can both see other people.

There is nothing wrong with dating two at once, as long as you are honest, and let them know that you are in the shopping mode. You should tell each one what you like about them so that they will not feel intimidated or used. Do not let yourself be put into the position so that you feel obligated in any way. Don't accept expesive gifts or money, be your own person.
Now I am 57 years old and that is the way we used to do it. I have dated several girls at once, and we always took one day at a time, and enjoyed each other without all the pressure and restrictions. Granted, some were not into sex at that time, but others were, and it was nice.

once i dated two women at the same time. i liked them both and each person i was with was real good . it was the in between stuff that killed me . i think by seeing two people at the same time i never really developed any real true deep emotional relationship with either one of them. hence all i felt was i being rushed.
its not really fair to the people your seeing and its not fair to your self
if your just having a good time that's all that it will be ( and that's fine if that what you want]
i guess the real question is if your starting to get emotional with one person i don't think it wise to date the other

Why would you need them both when it sounds like you like #1? If he wants to take it slow, take it slow. There is no need to rush into things, especially when you are just getting to know him. If he is what you want go for him, but if there are any reservations about it listen to yourself. Your basically asking "can I be with one boy that I like, while dating another that likes me?" Why don't you go out and find someone whom you like and feels the same and possesses all the qualities your looking for

As long as you're open and honest with them. Let them both know that you are seeing other people. Honesty is always the best policy.

Do whatever you want, but don't tell either that you're dating them exclusively and be dishonest about it. And be so careful if you do go further and start having sex. Use protection!!!
