How do you expect to read road signs when you can't even read the categories on YA? This is the Other Electronics section and really has nothing to do with driving!

At the age of 18 one is now termed an adult. Although the actual maturity of individuals vary, it is with this generalization that the law assumes an individual will be ready to handle the responsibility of caring about their own safety as well as the safety of Innocent pedestrians and other drivers.
It is essential that the road accident rate be reduced and it may actually help if the age for legal driving be increased, nevertheless, you are an adult at 18 and at this stage the law is saying i trust you on the road. Don't rush your age, just take your time and be safe.

honestly..it's because teenagers aren't responsible enough to operate a vehichle. ya'll are too distracted REGARDLESS of what you claim. you'll have friends..your ipod..cell phone...so, it's not a safe place for a young inexpierenced person..seriously...they lowered the permit age to 15 here so new drivers could gain more expierence, but they've since raised it back up a few months because 15 year olds were proving too irresponsible to drive..they're already limits now for drivers under 18 here that prohibits them from having ANYONE under the age of 18 with them in a car and stiff penealties for cell phone usage while driving...and they talked about raising the driving age to 18 all together..but letting them have thier learners for 2 years.
i'm 24, i was once 16 and know what it is to want to drive so badly...but i've also seen a lot of stupid stuff kids are doing on the road..i saw a girl wrap her car around a telephone pole because she dropped a chicken nugget and went to pick it up...and another girl tboned a car doing 70 because her phone rang.....like it was going to kill her to let the phone ring..cuz trying to answer it did.

I'm guessing you live in Canada?
I personally think it's a good idea.
Children under 18 have a very high chance of getting into an auto accident.
Enjoy having other people drive you around while it lasts. Driving get's old, fast.

It's called being irresponsible no offense but I think the driving age should be bumped up to 21.
