Not when there's nothing wrong with the person except they are fat. They are the ones that need to be walking while I ride around in their scooters because i'm tired from standing on my feet all day at work.

I think it's normal for people to get aggravated at "fat" people who ride around on those electric scooters, especially since so many of them zip through the aisles as though they have no idea how to use one.

However, I try to remember that I never know why someone is overweight or why they are on the scooter. They may be on the scooter because of some other medical issue that also prevents them from exercising - hence becoming fat.

Most of the time, it works to just remember this - unless, of course, they're especially rude.

Actually my hubby gets aggravated with them, also. He makes a remark about them to me, I have to admit I giggle a little...But then I nudge him with my elbow and say 'Be Nice!' Some of the people are in those electric scooters for legitimate health reasons, while some are just on there because they are large and don't want to or can't walk. That's kind of sad.

Why, are you jealous?
Did you intend to use those scooters yourself?
Do you realize that one of the reasons they may be fat is because arthritis and joint problems may limit their ability to walk and exercise? Even more worrisome, don't you ever wonder if you will end your days like that? They didn't start their lives that way, you know.
Compassion isn't just for the good looking you know.

Yes, it probably is mean. They could have valid reasons for being as they are.

It's when I see a perfectly normal person riding one and joking about how much fun they are that I get ticked. Especially now that I have, temporarily, a need to use them and can't because some snot nose sneaked one by the greeter at the door. That happened just yesterday....I wanted to smack 'em with one of my canes!

It's not mean unless you say something to them. If you just privately get aggravated and then ***** about it when they are not around... it's not mean. Also, remember they could have other health problems that aren't readily apparent.

Yes and no.....Yes some people get fat because of their lazy habits and diet or lack thereof but some people are naturally fat as well due to medical conditions or its in their genes. But you dont know if its due to their laziness or medical condition so you probably just dont want to get aggrevated by them and just understand them as long as they arent bothering you.

The only time i get aggrivated is when they clog the aisle or don't know how to drive the damn thing.

But if they're so fat or lazy they don't want to walk and they're buying junk, i don't care. It's not my business.

Well, see how your body would feel if you were stuck in a fat suit. Would you want to be judged for your faults?
