She needs to go to the doctor TODAY. I had that. It was a virus and I needed some heavy duty antibiotics to treat it. The doctor said you're lucky it didn't get up into your sinus cavity and your brain. So stop your worrying and drive her to the doctor. At least call them right now. Do it!!

It could be one as follows:
1. Allergy of some sort causing colds
2. Pimple
3. It might have been bitten by an insect
4. Or quite simply, someone hit the person's nose

I get that around my nostrils when it's cold and I have a runny nose. From your explanation, I'd say it's not related to anything like that. You might have a huge boil or something growing on your nose. Nothing else seems plausible. Hey- WC Fields handled it well, you'll probably be okay.

sinus problems can cause headaches, swollen under the chin could be swollen glands, aching could be flu. Not sure about the swollen nose.

try get here to a doctor, they will prescibe medicine. Dont worry. If you can gete here to a doctor try get her to the nearest pharmacy/chemist they will also help

Knowing why a nose suddenly swells up may not necessarily help. What you really got to do is to seek medical attention and fast cos who knows, it might lead to a whole lot of problems in the near future. Good luck 'slkempy'...
