after meeting someone did you think they might be "the one"?

Took me a year! Thats only because I was a firm believer that no one was out there for me after all my bad relationships and all my extremely short ones. I realized that the only reason why I was giving him a hard time was because I didnt believe him ehen he said your the one for me. I finally realized I was just fighting off my feelings to avoid disappointment. But he is the one, wonderful in everyway and just for me! Be sure and follow your heart, when it starts beating uncontrolably when you wrap your arms around him or he puts his arms around you when your hanging out then I believe he is the one and you mind, heart, body and soul will confirm it and boy its a good feeling.

Please consider the following 2-4 theory

First Impression / First Sight is crucial = usually in 2-4 seconds a decision is made

This is followed by the the amount of dates you go on = 2 is usually a clue if it is a NO and 3 or 4 provide the confirmation of a YES / NO

The first 2 weeks is like 2 peacocks showing off for one another and weeks 3 to 4 is the confirmation phase -

Oh MY GOD who washed and dressed him before I came along?
or the
Oh MY God is she ever going to be stop phoning me 50 times a day?

2 months will see you both behaving as you really are and not who you were pretending to be and 4 months will see you agreeing to things you would like to share rather than what you think the other one needs

At each stage there is a Make or Break phase, what you put in is equal to what you deserve to take out, so if you are only getting 20 - 40 % back then sort it out or you will be trampled on

A very long time or not. Just do a variety of different things with the so called One and just see how they make you feel. Also there really no such thing as the One, we all adapt to each other. If you are truly searching for the One then you'll never find them.

They have to have one potential before I start these days.

But I don't think of them as potentially the one until usually a few weeks or months after getting to know them.

And then there is the realities of finding out about there values, there family and living together.

So far I really havn't got further than the living together stage, so I guess as yet I havn't found my one.

I think it depends on the relationship and how much you are involved. I think it takes a little while at least a few months but you always here stories of the old married couples saying they new within the first few days.

The one....to what? Marry, love, date, have lots'o'sex with? I doubt we know the one's we're going to end up with right off the bat. Attraction is a very powerful thing but sometimes it's not the most defining thing.
