You would have to go through a check-in, in a chute
you can hide a lot of things, so if allowed, I don‘t think
it is a very good idea. Be sensible and think about your
idea from the other side. Someone who intends to do
serious damage to an aircraft, surely would take a chute
with him! Or am I wrong? If not, the authorities would
take you for serious questioning.

JFazak,
I hope your not serious, because if you are, don't do it. I think you might get yourself into big trouble. The TSA doesn't have a sense of humor about things like that. Even if they let you take it on the plane it wouldn't help. Large aircraft don't glide very good, so they have a tendency to drop straight down and with that in mind I don't think you would have much of a chance to use it.

I wouldn't think so. But two tings come to mind. Getting it through security without a problem and how can you get the door of a jet open while it's flying? You can't. Simple as that. So the parachute would just burn up with the rest of you when you crash which is most likely not going to happen.

at the beginning, the variety of injuries the place you the two ought to apply this variety of scheme and could prefer to apply this variety of scheme is miniscule. 2nd, this variety of device could be unbelievably high priced. you are able to no longer basically carry close a airplane from a rope. 0.33, it could be almost impossible to diminish a great airplane thoroughly. in the adventure that your landing kit failed, you may do a abdomen landing. the prospect of the airplane breaking into products is lots decrease that way. As for you no longer minding paying 2-5% greater to your cost ticket if it meant you would be slightly safer, it could honestly make you much less secure. the strengthen to protection could be so small that the folk killed by way of the greater effective street site visitors (as marginal airplane visitors take automobiles extremely) could completely wipe out the lives stored by way of the parachute. commercial air commute is lots safer than automobile commute that even small will boost in air commute cost statistically reason significant numbers of deaths.

i expect not. but jumping from an aircraft at fifty thousand feet is a pretty nasty thought as you would probably pass out through lack of oxygen or freeze to death. but if you had to (due to a unforseen element) then you would have to wait in the plane until you got to a suitable hieght then jump but by then about a hundred other passengers would have ripped it off your back (thats if the plane was going down)sorry self preservation and all that

What good would it do you? You can't open the doors during a flight anyway.

I don't know of specific rules against it... but I don't think it would be looked upon fondly.

Pointless

They wouldn't open any doors or windows to let you use them.

The doors and windows open inward. The plane is pressurized. You won't be able to open them yourself.
