I recently went to a fortuneteller and she said a lot of things that shocked me, like what was going to happen in the next 18 months, nothing was bad, she just said some things that I think won't happen. She seem to know a lot about me but I didn't even give anything away. What is your view??

The best word to use when describing fortune tellers is "CHARLATAN". The are not telling your fortune. They are simply giving you some generalities which could apply to any one. As one astute person observed, If they can see the future, why don't they win the Lottery.
How do I know: I used to be a Fortune teller. It is all fake coupled with the ability to read people.
A few leading questions or remarks opens almost any person up.
There were some real instances of course, but they were brilliant inspirational flashes that could not be controlled.
This I will tell you. You do have a spirit guide, Everyone does. Some call it a little voice that tells them things. Signs come to you in many different ways. It could be a line on the TV that suddenly stands out. When that happens I say "Well that is the message for today" If you attempt to do something and someone or something gets in the way. Don't push it, save it for another time. Learn to read and follow those signs. You won't need a fortune teller after all.

She's a huckster. While reading through a numerology site one time I noticed that all the different Life Number Types had qualities that could ALL be associated with me. These 'fortunetellers' and 'psychics' speak in such general terms but rely on YOU to fill in the rest for them. You can always say something in general and it will apply to most people i.e. you are very creative. Everyone reading this will find one creative strong point about themselves and fill in the blanks. Thus- I am not a fortuneteller- just smarter than average.... or so I like to think. LOL

Have a great day!!!

You probably "gave away" much more than you realize. If you came to my house to have your fortune told, I am reasonably certain that I would be able to shock you as well. Did she invite you back because even though those energies which govern good fortune are seeming to be in your favor, she will probably suggest that you will need her "special influence" to guide you and to help negotiate obstacles and negative forces which, without her help, might serve to hinder you or, worse yet, cause harm or ill-fate to befall you or your loved ones. But what's a few hundred dollars when considering your peace of mind knowing that all is well with you and your family, thanks to her, of course. Just be aware of Red flags such as those I've mentioned and if any of this rings true, Get out!

Yes some furtunetellers can say whats gonna happen in the future because they get there infomation from the Devil himself Cus the Devil is a spirit and like God knows all things from the Beginning to the End so does the Devil cus the Devil is a fallen angel so yes but its not of God (Jesus Christ)

Most fortune tellers I have seen will give you general information. Most everyone has similar lives. We are not all that different in our life as far as goals and aspirations and whatnot. People are more alike than they think.
So I tend to be a little skeptical.

Yes.

I can tell your fortune.
I see you giving $20 or $50+ to a person who wants to tell you things so you come back and give them more money...for words.

I can tell that you want to believe in anything other than yourself.

I can tell that you can't see yourself as being worthwhile, spiritual, or trusting....and you're very young.

I can tell that you will begin to trust yourself, and seek long-term solutions to your problems.....and you will tell your friends and relatives...eventually what you did.

i think people often don't realize how much they give away. fortune tellers are very skilled at reading your reactions and proceeding based on your reactions. you know fortune tellers aren't real because they'd be lottery winners, not people trying to create a living this way.
