Of course! Yeast does spread from one contact point to another. Sometimes though the person who has come in contact with it may not get it if their body is able to reject it. Yeast has to have the proper "surroundings" (so-to-speak) to be able to grow. If your mouth for instance is not sutible to sustain yeast then you won't contract the thrush. And it's not a cleanliness issue either. Some people's body's are just more resiliant and others are more suited to it. Also, for thrush you can clear it up quickly and help to prevent getting it by going to your local drug store to the vitamin aisle and picking up a bottle of acedophilus capsules. About three or four times a day, break open 1 capsule and pour the powder in your mouth. Swish and suck and roll it around until it all desolves. Also you could eat plain yogurt, that works almost as well. Yeast can not grow in those circumstances.

I haven't found anything that says it can be spread by kissing but it is contagious.
How thrush is spread
The ways in which the yeast causing thrush can be passed from one person to another vary with age.
Newborns and infants
A newborn can get thrush during birth, especially if his or her mother had a vaginal yeast infection during labor and delivery. Symptoms of thrush generally appear 3 to 7 days after birth. Newborns and infants have an immature immune system and have not fully developed a healthy balance of bacteria and fungus in their mouths. Because of this, thrush is common during the first few months of life.
Toddlers and older children
In otherwise healthy toddlers and older children, thrush is usually not contagious. However, a child with a weakened immune system may develop thrush by sharing infected toys or pacifiers with a child who has the infection. A child with thrush spreads the thrush fungus onto anything the child puts in his or her mouth. Another child may then get thrush by putting an infected object into his or her mouth.
Adults
Thrush can be spread through oral sex. The fungus that causes vaginal yeast infections is the same fungus that causes thrush.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment
