You need to wash it well first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We send the hair from our Newfies to a woman that washes it and spins it into hats, scarves, mittens, and sweaters. I doubt a cushion would be much different!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fleas are not an issue after it is off the dog!!!!!!!!!!!!! the flea needs the DOG not the hair. They feed off blood in the dog, not the hair.

No you can't make a cushion stuffed with dog fur because it will not support your weight.

as long as the hair/fur is clean there should be no problem - poodle hair has been known to be woven and made into garments such as a womens suit - who would want to wear it?- now thats a question. i can fully understand it if you want to keep it as some sort of momento of your beloved pet. it shouldn't be a problem. you wil just need to take extra special care as it won't have the same durability as synthetic stuffing
