I found the best way to curb hunger was to ensure that the foods I ate gave me the most substance for the fewest calories (or weight watchers points in my case). For example a bowl of cereal may have the same calories as one yogurt cup but the cereal will keep you feeling full longer. Since we can't just leave work to run out the the grocery store in search of the right food, I supplemented by chewing gum or drinking a cup of coffee (with skim milk). I also found that a change in scenery helped get my mind off food. I would go outside for some fresh air and feel less hungry afterward because a lot of the hunger was in my head.

You may want to think about changing your 800 calories a day diet. A low-calorie diet can be a good plan, but usually it means you have to eat at least 1000 calories per day to get your body the right nutrients it needs. I would make sure you're getting enough vitamins, water, fruit and vegetables. And really, do your body a favor and up your calorie intake. Particularly if you're a woman - diets like this that may border on anorexia can put you at risk for major health problems like osteoprosis and possibly hurt your reproductive system as well. In fact, checking in with a nutritionist can help you figure out the best way to keep a low-calorie diet but get all the essential nutrients you need to keep healthy.
Meanwhile, I suggest you eat an apple. One of the best snack foods out there.

You really should eat more than 800 cals per day. That is very low. Try to eat 1200 a day; that is still low and will help curb your hunger.

Drink water. Also if your hungry it could be because your diet is lacking a vitamin that you need. If you are craving something in specific eat a small amount of that food and have a large tall glass of water.

Try to get your mind off food - thinking about it will make it worse. Go for a walk outside, call a friend, read a book... just try to think about other things.
