Lewis has since retired, as did Vitali Klitschko.
The heavyweight division is split along 4 lines. The titleholders are:

Lewis retired on top on February 6, 2004. November 9, 2005, Vitali Klitschko announced his retirement from professional boxing. He cited regrets about his suddenly-mounting injuries, a desire to leave the sport while still on top, and political aspirations in his home country of Ukraine.

Yep, they're both retired now. My husband thinks Vitali Klitschko might come back to fight Nikolay Valuev (7' WBA champ) since they're both huge, but I doubt it since Vitali was pretty much forced into retirement by frequent training injuries.

Currently, I'd consider his brother Wladimir Klitschko to be the champ. After all, he did knock out Chris Byrd, who recently was considered to be the best heavyweight. There's no one really dominant, though, so you can take your pick. Here's a list of the current belt holders with links to more info about them:

Both Lenox and Vitali have retired. Lenox retired due to age and bascially was on the top of his game. Vitali due to injury. Vitali is in politics and Lenox is a commentator for HBO boxing. There have been talks of them coming back but none of them serious. There is no current unified heavy weight champ. Vitali's brother Vlad is a belt holder and people seem to think he has a chance to unify.

No he's retired in London enjoying his wealth, health and family. Klitschko is retired, and running for public office in his home country. You got 4 Russians who hold the "alphabet soup" titles. there names are Maskaev, Valuev, Klitschko(V's brother), Liakhovich.
