The sore on your tongue is not a canker sore but an infected taste bud. Nothing serious...its normal. Try mouthwash or warm water and salt...it wont make the pain go away but will keep your mouth cleaner and maybe make the sore go away quicker.

Yes. I've had canker sores on my tongue, inner lips, gums, inside my cheeks. I've had as many as 5 at a time. The doctor told me that they are like little ulcers in my mouth, it's an open wound. Mine are caused by stress. Avoid salt, tomatoes, anything acidic. Try eating yogurt regularly, it helps to keep canker sores away. I use Kanka on mine. It's sold by the toothpastes. It's a liquid that you put on the canker sore. It forms a coating over the sore to help it heal. Canker sores can be so painful. I feel bad for you! Hope it heals quickly.

The only way that I have found to help it go away is to rinse my mouth with listerine
