I am very sad to hear about your brother's predicament. It is sad to say that unless you are the CEO of an oil company hiring illegal immigrants and jacking up gas prices for the biggest profit in history, Bush will not listen to you. Our president works for BP, not our citizens. It is shameful that people from any country other than Mexico are being put on the back burner when they follow the rules to become citizens. God bless your brother and damn this administration to hell for showing him how messed up our country really is.

The media can be a powerful ally. Contact your local news channel, hopefully the story will be picked up by one of their larger affiliates. Beforehand, ask someone if they can help you build a website explaining your cause. Include short biography detailing the adversity he has overcome in his lifetime. Start a petition and make your state congressman/Representative aware, especially if they are up for election, they'll take up your cause. You need to appeal to the self interest of others somehow. Then after all the hard work chances are its enough of an effort to be picked up by MSN, Fox news, or CNN. Many networks are searching for story like yours, especially during these times, foreign affairs in shambles and all.

Millions of people ask the president & government questions, BUT what counts is the answer.
You need to request the oath be administered by the appropriate agency as soon as possible and do not waste time with people who have no authority or jurisdiction in the matter.

Seek a face-to-face meeting with one of your Senators. If you have one that is a Democrat, try him/her first - they are more likely to help individuals. Republicans mainly work with businesses.
Don't bother with emails/phone calls; not much will happen. You need to go to Washington and see them, or else wait for them to be in your state (during a break).
You can find the contact information for your Senators at the web site I've listed below.

Write letters. I wrote letters to the president, Senators, Congressmen, Assembleymen, and the newspapers. I got a reply from the president's office, Barbara Boxer, Jerry Lewis, and my letter was published in the paper. The pen is mightier than the sword.

Call his Congressman or Senator to US Congress. They usually have people on staff to help with many problems. Call and make sure you speak to someone. They are all running for office now and their staff people ought to be more available to help you.Maybe you can find a judge who can swear him in locally.

You should contact your representatives in congress. They are in the best position to help you. Obviously the President does not get involved in things like this, but your representative will know who to talk to.

I would contact your State Representative. It's amazing what they can accomplish if they get on the phone and make phone calls for you.

Sadly, it's doubtful that the government will help a "nobody." They are "too busy with more important issues in the world."
