It has alsways been ok to eat spinach out of a can. As for fresh spinach, if they're slling it in the stores then it is alright too.

Yes, the stuff that was contaminated has been taken off the shelf, and it was only certain brands of bagged spinach.

Yes, it has been all over the news for weeks.

But why not buy fresh "heads" of spinach instead of bagged? Problem solved.

It was never not OK to eat it. That was just an overblown sensationalistic brainstorm of the federal govt. Only a hundred or so people died of the problem out of 300 million....and they were already very sick people in the first place.
