Guys, Check a map and see what Sicily is close to. That will tell you what combinations of blood they have.

Plus, check your history - you'll see that Sicily was conquered by several other groups, so there were randy soldiers running around from those places, too.

Italy is a country that has been conquered a lot, and also, in Roman times, they conquered a lot and brought home lots of prisoners from all over Europe and west Asia. So Italians have a lot of blood from all over. If you travel in the north of Italy near Germany you see lots of blonds and redheads. If you travel in the south you see a lot of people who are very dark skinned. It's not exactly a big puzzle why!

well sicilians are looked down on by italy, but usually a sicilian is an italian. but in comparing the language italian and sicilian are two totally differant languages. to learn sicilian u have to be taught by a true sicilian to understand it. i also agree that spanish might be a part because the languages are closely related, but that could be because their close to each other. but trust me that there is no african or french or even spanish blood in a true pure blooded sicilian, they are italian. and the reason italians look down on them is because sicilians have all the power.

Sicilians may have Black blood. especially if they are mixed with Spanish Blood. The Moors, (a Black race) at one point in history took over Spain, and intermarried with the Spanish people. So maybe that might be away that the Sicilians would have Black Blood

My best friend's mother did their family's genealogy on their father's side. He was from Sicily, but the surprising find was that his grandparents came from Armenia. They had a common Sicilian surname, so perhaps Armenian ancestry is common in that area. Back in those times, Armenia was a place to escape from for many reasons.
