We are a family living in lancashire,we are thinking of relocating to Norfolk?

I would have a job sorted with current employer,any suggestions on good/bad areas of North Norfolk would be appreciated ta.

I think I am probably the perfect person to ask. I live in Blackpool, Lancs and I have family in Norfolk. I don't like the place but I don't like Blackpool either. But if you are going to move there then Kings Lynn is OK but bit of a 1 horse town. Sandringham area is very nice probably the only place in Norfolk I would like to live in. Norwhich is quite good. Great Yarmouth and hunstanton are def no goes.
They are like a worse version of Blackpool. Are no motoraways in Norfolk so commuting outside Norfolk is a bad idea unless you get the train. Does not take too long to get too cambrige or London.
Hope that helps you out a bit. I would go and check out palces yourself before moving there.

I am from Cumbria (Barrow) and relocated to London, though I do know Norfolk. Personally, I would move back tomorrow if I could. Norfolk (speaking as a person who has been there, not lived there) is part of that flat bit of England on the Belgian side of the UK. The people there do not mind strangers as long as they know them and do not object to foreigners as long as they are local. It is too far from London, yet not far enough. It has an airport that does not go anywhere useful and train connections that are dilatory. So, in a word, boring. (Sorry, Norfolk)

The north Norfolk coast is a really beautiful part of the country.

Check out places like 'The Burnhams' (Burnham Market, Burnham Overy Staithe and other villages beginning with Burnham), then east across the coast through Wells-next-the-Sea, Cley, Blakeney, and across to Sheringham. It's gorgeous around all of those.

Holt is a nice little market town, with good facilities and a couple of really nice pubs. My grandfather lived there for years, and was very happy there.

Sheringham is a very pleasant seaside town, although as with all UK seaside resort towns, it is a little past its heyday. Cromer (which is larger) used to be more run down and a bit grottier, but was much nicer last time I went having had a good injection of EU cash for regeneration purposes. I'd probably stay further west of Cromer though, in the more rural areas.

Norwich itself is quite pleasant for a large city. Probably wouldn't choose to live there though.
