This is someone who has expressed interest before but I didn't ask for the order. How can I go about asking for the order to best improve my chances of landing the account?

1. Get appointment to see him
2. Thank him for his time
3. Review the fact that he has expressed interest
4. Reitterate the benefits of your product or svc
5. "Since you see the advantages of our product or svc,
Mr Big, may I sign you up now, so you can
start saving money (or making money) right now.?"

Have contract allready made up...use assumption close.
And always ask for the sale !

"Read lots of sales and marketing books" has got to be the dumbest answer ever written. Plain and simple, you need to use rhetoric, or persuasive speaking. You need to identify your audience (the account holder) appeal to their emotion, representing how you can meet their needs.
