my family is cathelic,my fience and family are christian,we are not religiouse, we dont talk about our religion with anyone,we wont even force our daughter on any religion. She will nto go to hell if she doesnt beleive in god(any god),she will survive if she receives blood. She will expericence all our celebrations with family, and receive love and gifts, like barbies and my little ponys :), she will be who she is and not follow anyone, she will belive in her own
god,and not bug anyone about it.

we can buy candies everyday for our children, that isnt the point. Its the fun,do ti for your kids, they look forward for it every yeat, and than a becomes and memory for them when older.Holloween isnt about the dead walking(u wouldnt tell your kids that they wouldnt udnerstnd),its about dressing up getting candies and having fun FOR THEM.

And birthdays are about celebrating your new age, not about a head getting cut off.
and for christmas:
Children make their own choice to belive in santa, just like your parents told u about JH god, and u decided to beleive it when u were that young
And yes u buy presents for your kids, but they enjoy opening them.If your afraid of losing money, just buy them one $20 gift.

Religion started by a man who was money hungry. He predicted the world end in 1914, 1915, 1925, 1975...etc. It never happened. He is a false prophet. The religion was made up by a man and the "New Testament" was translated differently then it should have been. I believe this religion and all reigions are wrong because I don't think anyone should tell you how to believe in God...as long as you do. And also, try looking up their sites...they don't really mapy out their history. There are SO MANY sites and info in other places that tell the true history.

Again, alot like other religions, this was created by man. It is a cult like all other religions.

everyone is entitled to their own religion. but to me i feel there is only one true religion and that is Jehovah Witness's. Their religion is world wide, even acoss the country. Please do research on this matter. I am not a Jehovah Witness but did grow up in that environment. in the church today, there is alot of competition. one church is trying to be better than the next church and that is not unity. God wants everything to be unified. (AS ONE) Think about some pastors that are running the church are they really concerned about the souls or the money because where i am from we have pastors that are married and are sleeping around with certain people in the church. some people in the church don't have any guilt about what they do. if you were a Jehovah Witness, if we do wrong i don't care how bad it hurt we approach the elders in the church and tell them and get disfellowship. and i feel that is appropriate because why would you want people in the church who is doing wrong but still hooping and hollering in the church. they are not setting a good example for others. as far as birthdays john the baptist got his head cutt off at a birthday party that is the reason for that celebration. then churchs go around celebrating halloween. in the bible that is the day the dead walks the earth. why do some many christians have their kids dressed up in costumes. if they want candy go to the store and buy them some. as far as christmas concerned why lie to kids telling them about santa claus when he don't even exist. you work hard for your money and give credit to a made up character. that is so not cool. if you were to go to the Kingdom Hall one time. i bet u would change ur opinion about Jehovah witnesses

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Started as "Bible Students somewhere in the 1800's. It is the only religion that follows the bible - God's word to mankind - for what it says. Other religions will bend or water down what the bible says so as to accept everyone, whereas our view is that God made the bible available to all so that they could choose to obey him as He has commanded, or follow their own way. We try to obey God according to the rules and guidelines he has provided in the Bible - not according to what we "feel" is better or worse. As far as keeping our religion to ourselves, your the one asking the question. Wouldn't you rather hear the answer from someone whose actually in the religion rather than someone else? There are plenty of people out there with a negative view -on any subject - based on a conversation with one person. Why do they let that one person decide for them what is the truth and what isn't? Everyone is allowed a choice - don't be mad at Jehovah's Wittnesses for trying to follow in Jesus' footsteps. As far as doctor's or blood being safe - just type in the word "malpractice" on google and see what you find.

As a parent, I can appreciate your point of view regarding trying to do whatever is necessary to save your childs life if they were sick. I want the very best medical care for my children, but I also want to make sure that I obey my Creator. He knows what is best for us, more so than we ourselves do. I am not one who just accepts answers blindly. I believe in doing research and study, especially when it comes to my children and their health. I will not just blindly hand over the care of my child to anyone.

The more doctors come to learn about blood, the more they are beginning to understand what our Creator knew all along. Our life is in our blood. It is uniquely ours.
Blood brings oxygen, nutrients and defensive help to every cell in our bodies, but it also carries away "junk," waste products, dying, damaged cells.
Blood carries the risk of transmitting infectious agents, even viruses, even careful donor selection and lab tests don't eliminate the dangers. There is also the danger of human error, there have been occations when doctors give the wrong blood to the patient. Those who receive blood face risks similar to those undergoing a organ transplant. The American Cancer society is not so quick to transfuse patients. They have found they heal better without transfusions. I just read of a new life-threatening immune reaction from blood. It is called TRALI or transfusion-related acute lung injury. It causes hundreds of deaths each year. That is not to mention AIDS, Hepatitis A,B &C. As a loving parent, I would never expose my child to those kinds of dangers. It has nothing to do with "paranoia" as you mentioned. There are so many alternatives to blood transfusions. There are hospitals throughout the US that have 'Bloodless wings'. Not only Jehovah's Witnesses are refusing blood transfusions. If you are going to hate Jehovah's Witnesses, that is your choice, but as an educated, intellegent parent, you should make the choice to be informed about the dangers of blood transfusions, not just assuming that they are safe.

As far as the holidays are concerned, I choose to avoid getting involved in a celebration that has pagan origins. That is my personal choice.
The birth of a child is a momentous occassion. Our children are gifts from God. Let me ask you this, at a birthday, who is being worshipped? We are taught to worship only Jehovah. The only two birthdays mentioned in the Bible were celebrated by men who did not worship the God of the Bible.
The Bible only encourages us to celebrate one thing. The Memorial of Jesus death, so that is what I choose to worship every year on Nissan 14.

people say so many bad things about us. we are family world wide in 235 lands. no matter my county or state we all worship and do the same things. you can have four churches on one block and they are all teaching different things. we are a united family worldwide. we all love each other no matter who you are, black, white, chinese or what ever. as for as the blood, even before I became a Jehovah Witness, I would never take of blood. our children get gifts all year long, we don't have to wait for a special day or holiday.
