I am a worrier, too. I was worrying so much I was making myself ill. I went to a counselor who helped me work through my worries. You may want to consider this option.
The counselor helps you by talking out your worries and helps you plan for any "problems." Then, you develop strategies about what to do if something happens. For example, you are worried about money. Set aside time to plan your bill paying, and watch your "extra" spending.
I also expressed my worries to co-workers and my family. They weren't aware I was stressing out about stuff. So,they helped me with some of the "family" stuff. (gifts, cards, etc.)
So, that's my suggestion to you. Seek out a counselor. If you live in the states, there are agencies that will help you out based on a sliding scale.
good luck!

The obvious answer would be don't worry be happy! That being said, try a few exercises of the mind. What would be the worse that will happen if - what you are worrying about actually happened? CAN YOU CHANGE WHAT it is you are worried about? If you can, change it, if you can't let it go. Or will it matter or still be important in 5 years (months, hours, minutes)? Learn some good relaxation techniques. Practice them. Watch your diet!!!! Good luck!! Oh and stop worrying!!!! Most worries never come true. Of course, you could always just have the breakdown. Sometimes those are helpful too! Maybe even fun! Yet very expensive!

Buy a relaxation CD from the bookshop/health shop/amazon. Listen to it in a quiet, comfortable place, where you won't be disturbed - every day at least once, twice if you can. After a couple of weeks you will start to feel more relaxed all the time. Keep listening and after a month or 2 you'll be a new man. If you want to speed the whole process up you could get some hypnotherapy but you'll still need to do your regular relaxation

take care of yourself and your priorities, spoil yourself, keep yourself busy doing something and stop stressing about other people.
I have a nervous breakdown maybe like 3 times a week. I don't know why. But it just happends unpredictabilitly!. I just try to keep myself super busy and I also stopped helping people. And started focusing more about what is going on my life than in other peoples lives who are never there for me when I need them.
Go to the gym, spend time with a good friend and talk with them about your problems just VENT. if she/he is a good listner... It's helps a lot. I have my bf to talk to. But sometimes I talk to my best friend. Just dont take stuff to the heart and think that everyone is poking at you.
I mean i used to haVE A nervous breakdown at least once a week. But now I have a constant scheldule and im not as streesed out as I usually am. It's hard to explain but you just need to take control of yourself and take it easy.

i worry a lot too. But I pray to God everyday that everything will work out for the best. I didn't choose my family and look at where I am now. Jobless because one of the staffing agencies I used to work at sended me on assignment for something long term. However, I couldn't stay there for a whole year because of dept. changes and I am still on the "waiting list". So I am worried about my future, but I know that God is in control.

You can't control whether you have a breakdown or not-people don't choose to have them. However, worrying about it is more likely to bring one on.Some people just worry more than others. It sounds like you've started worrying about worrying. You can't stop the anxious thoughts that come into your head...you can only control how you respond to them.Distracting yourself, and developing your interests are good ways of diverting anxiety.

Assume the worst is about to happen and nothing you do will change things. So, if your unable to change things why worry about them?
You will soon stop worrying when you realise life is for enjoying, so stop worrying and have some fun :)
