Can I Take A Moment To Vent?

Question

I have got to let my frustration out! My MIL recently got hired by UPS. This is the same woman who complains ALL THE TIME that her back hurts and she can't clean her house or take care of basic responsibilities. Her husband does everything. She goes to a chiropractor because she claims to hurt so badly. Why would she get a job there? Everything always goes this womans way. She won herself a brand new car, goes on 2-week luxury cruises every 3 months, gets a great paying job overnight, and has a husband who kisses her butt. Problem is, she treats everyone like dirt. She is critical, nagging, rude, & most of all hurtful. My husband has bipolar disorder and has a hard time working, and she constantly nags on him about how easy it is to get a job and that he is worthless. WHY do people who are MEAN get everything? Why does it always work out for them? Do nice people really finish last? Also, she is SO mean to her elderly MIL, but guess who gets the millions of dollars once she dies?

She may really get on your nerves, but don't let her know that, ignore her. That will bug her the most.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I see the same thing happen year after year. People that get compensation claims for hundreds of thousands of dollars, and there is nothing wrong with them. Sour grapes, no, imagine if the entire world was like that? Does she really "get everything?". Has she got the same degree of happiness in her life as you? If she is so mean to everyone, she is most likely a detested by most. To answer your questions. People who are mean don't always get everything, it only seems that way, don't worry, I'm sure she's had some ripper letdowns. Do things really always work out for them . Even the best plans can be ruined. Do nice people really finish last? Yes, it seems so, for if we were to finish first, we'd be as bad as them. But remember 1 thing, "What goes around, comes around"

Wow she sounds really nasty, I can try to understand what you're going through, my thought on this is that people like her eventually fall flat on their faces, believe me i had a friend with a similar personality, she's actually the most miserable person I know now, it's good to vent but you don't have to include her in your family if she's that horrible. Just try to make the best of each situation, you'll come out the better person.

i can definitely relate with the fact that mean people get everything!! and i cant stand it either if i could figure it out id be so happy!! anyway just distance yourself from her, don't worry about how great life is for her just do what you gotta do and be happy with what you have its all you can do...mean while hope for her life to come crashing down around her ears that's what i do!!

My suggestion would be to move away from her. A little distance can make things a little more tolerable. Trust me, my inlaws live around the corner from me - NOT FAR ENOUGH! - however, since I've been married 20 years, I have learned to stay away from them.

I think this way sometimes. Then i try to remember that I have enternal treasures waiting for me in heaven for my deeds. Then I pray for God to chage that person who just rubs me the wrong way. It's not easy but I do it anyways. Kill her with kindness when you are around her, but try to keep your distance as much as possible.

OMG! I so know someone like that & it is unfair... but I say she will get hers in the end .. just like your MIL. But in the meen-time, kill her with kindness :) that always seems to work. GOOD LUCK!!

I know that life sometimes seems unfair but believe me that it will someday return all the bad that she sends out now.

I agree with Tara. Be her best friend she will absolutely hate every minute of it.
