I have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Any advice for remission?

My husband has Crohn's disease. He tells me that a healthy sex life and a loving marriage keeps it in remission. When he does have flares he takes a non narcotic anti-inflammatory and an anti nausea medicine. He gets a colanoscopy and an endoscopy once a year to make sure his digestive system is okay. He has had eight surgeries and sometimes has to take steroids for inflammation at his previous surgical sites. He is a very picky eater and knows from experience what he can and cannot eat. He eats mostly protein, limits veggies and does not drink alcohol. Some medicines can effect our sex life but don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about ED medicines. I think that as well as his optimism keeps him as healthy as he can be with a chronic illness. I wish you little pain and lots of sex in the future!
