I was applying for a real credit card and somehow (must have been a pop-up) I ended up filling one out that deducted money from my account that was not the same place I was applying for.There is no contact number and I have emailed them 5 x for cancellation as well as my $ back.Anyone know how to deal with US Platinum ?

Tell your bank to not pay out to this place & ask them if they can put the money back into your account. Colorado has laws to help people with things like this. I'm not sure if this is state or fed. law. Your bank should help you. Also they should tell you if they have other problems with US Platinum.
My son had AOL take money out of his account for 3 months when they should not have. His bank got all his money back + all the bounce fees he got when that put him into overdraft.

If you used a Credit or debit Card. Call that company and request the card be hot carded. So it won't allow no purchases.
If it is your checking account. You will need to go to your bank and tell them you need to close your account because of fraud. Make sure they hard close that account. Then you can open a new one. Remember to take your debit/atm cards and checks that maybe attached to the account.

You need to report them to your state agency for such thefts or even let a federal agency such as the FBI know about it since it is technically fraud. This is serious and the federal government looks out for companies like this who pose as other companies and then take people's money.
You may need to close that account and open a new one so that they cannot take any more of your money.

you need to file this with your attorney generals office in your state... us platium is one of the worst crooks in the world,,,
did you give them your checking account numbers ,,, do not do that.....
you need to look at the sites you are visiting on line ,,, never fill out any thing from pop ups..
you need a pop blocker also ...
lavasoft add ware personal is very good ,,, andf it is free always...
check your computer for what is stored on it
i use pc( pitstop) it will scan and it will show you what is running and what is on there ,,, very good ,,, and they will tell what should be removed
