I don't think I would do it,, lot of pros and cons,, has to be your decision,, are you light enough it will show up?

Unsterile tattooing equipment can transmit infections, including hepatitis B, hepatitis C and even HIV. The risk is so significant that the American Association of Blood Banks requires a one-year wait between getting a tattoo and donating blood.
You could also get granulomas, little nodules that can form around the tattoo, or keloid scar formation. Some people are prone to developing these keloid scars, which grow beyond the boundary of the tattoo. Granulomas and keloids are permanent unless you have them surgically removed.
Also, allergic reactions, although rare, can happen.
If you still want to get a tattoo... make sure they are using disposable equipment and the place is Clean!! visit their place of business, before making an appointment to have it done.

I say go for it! i have about 3 now! About to be 4! I love them! Stay away for brite colors caue they might not show up on your skin! Be Carefull of keloids! If you keloid i would say no don't do it unless you have one and want to cover it! I'm not that light but i'm not Dark either! Everyone can see my tattoos very well! I have some purple ink in one of my tattoos! but it's on the lightest part of my wrist! Test your skin out first and see how it goes! Ask the Tattoo artist to do it and see what they think would be best for you!

ok please ignore all that racist crap I am a caramel complected woman and heres what I have to say
1 what you get should be your choice and think about it hard
2 who ever you get to do your tattoo make sure they are recomended to you
3 if you are lighter it goes by quicker because they dont have to repeatedly shade your lines and colors
4 the lighter you are the more vibrant the colors will be
5 if your darker you might want to get your design bigger so it will be more noticable
Basically it's just little things nothing major except for numbers 1 n 2, I am suffering with number 2 myself not fun.
Your tattoos might also fade faster and make sure your body wont reject the ink first or then you will be really salty.

It's true light colours don't show up as well a darker ones. I tried getting violet in the last tatt I got it showed a little but it just looks scared more then anything, thankfully I'm friends with the artist so he said if it didn't look good he'd just put in a different colour. My other tatts have deep purples and reds and they showed up perfectly!

Hi-
I would recommend that if you get one, let it be a basic black ink tattoo..Depending on your skin tone, the colors will fade and it will not look so appealing then... When deciding on a design go for something abstract and unique...

if you have dark skin the colors won't show up as good but if your skin is light then the colors should be ok.Also black skin scars easliy you are more at risk in developing a keloid.I have a link below all about keloids

dosent matter what your skin color
is, just maybe some colors show up better, last longer than others; but the tattoo artist will explain that to you.

Vibrant bright colors do not show up as well on brown skin. So don't expect the color to look as vibrant as it does on a white girl.

it won't seem weird and wonderful. it is going to look the way it is meant to. i do no longer truly understand... why might it seem weird and wonderful? in case you visit an outstanding artist who's acquainted with what he/she is doing, it is going to look solid.
