I had my implants put in by a plastic surgeon consultant who specialises in breast augmentation. He says they last a life time. 10-20 years expiration dates are for older less advanced implants. But nobody can say for sure as the implants available today havent had chance to show their true shelf life, excuse the pun ;)

It depends on the type. Some of the modern ones dissolve I think.
The newer types are filled with a saline solution that doesn't become poisonous if it leaks. The old ones used to be lethal if they burst.
Even the best implants can only delay the inevitable, people can't fully hide the signs of ageing. Her funbags might stay up there a bit longer than most other womens', but in the end gravity will win out and they'll sag like two old water skins like anybody else's.

How long do implants last?
The data on implant longevity is variable. Implant leakage is usually caused by a leak in the valve area. Other causes of implant failure include a tear, hole or rip in the implant, this can occur over time. If a saline implant leaks, the salt water gets absorbed by the body with no adverse effects.
Many women can get a lifetime out of their implants with no exchange needed, but it is best to think that you may need an implant exchange at sometime in your life. Implant leakage reports between 1to 5% per year.
Why do breast implants need to be replaced?
The only reason to replace implants is if there is a problem with them. For example; leakage, capsular contracture, change in shape, asymmetry, or a patient who is unhappy with size or position. Some plastic surgeons will recommend changing silicone implants even if there is not a visible problem.
Speak with your plastic surgeon about implant exchanges.

it's not definite. They may need to be replaced, maybe not. It depends on if they rupture. With saline implants this is not really dangerous but if they rupture they will eventually leak and shrink, wrinkle, etc. Unfortunately, mammograms can increase risk of rupture because of the stress they put on the breast (i.e. the implant).

If she is lucky! They normally last about 10 yrs or so. After that? She has to put on new ones, or do some tissue tucking. I think either way she'll have to tuck in some skin

They breakdown inside the body and leak silica everywhere.
Then an NHS doctor says, 'you need them renewed or removed love, can I have another feel just to check'

This is true. She'll have to have them removed for safety reasons or they could rupture
