If you have the common kind of toenail fungus, there is no topical cure. You have to get a prescription for Lamisil. If it isn't serious, the Lamisil spray or powder over the counter may help.

There is NO topical home cure for toenail fungus - NOT EVEN TEA TREE OIL!
You have to get a scrip for Lamisil pills. It takes months to work, you have to be monitored for liver damage, and the fungus usually comes back after you stop taking it.

You need to cut the nail way down as far as you can. Let the skin underneath be exposed to air. My nail salon has been doing this a few weeks and it's working (does not hurt). It's not so pretty for awhile but eventually your nail will be healthy and clear. It's simple and probably something Grandma did. I've had this problem for years and I tried all the topical treatments too and this is the only thing that helped.

Tea tree oil should kill the fungus, isnt a quick fix but will work if given a week or so. Its realatively cheap and so easy to use..can be used for hundreds of other uses also.
