I would just take it easy and not rush into anything. She has a child and she is still in love with her ex? Approach with care. You don't want to get hurt.

don't do that. you are only toturing yourself. she said she was in love with her ex still. WALK AWAY! go find yourself a wonderful woman than can devote her time to you only. do you go to a market and buy half of an orange? or even a dab of toothpaste? why would you settle for someone who is only willing to give you partial attention?

Give her time, but don't be a friend. Be forward with her. "I want to be with you, but I know your in a tough place right now and you need a friend. I will be that until you are ready"

You cannot force people to love you. Let her come to you if she wants.
