Try having one egg or two egg whites for breakfast, or one bowl of oatmeal. The benefit of the egg is that it's full of protein so it'll keep you fuller, making you want to snack less. Add in green pepper or onion to make a small but satisfying omelet. The oatmeal has fiber in it to help cleanse your body of fatty storage. Try alternating to keep a balance- the egg has cholesterol in it so alternating an egg one day and oatmeal the next is beneficial. For snacks, try nuts (almonds, specifically are cited for thier "good fats and oils", which aid your body in ridding itself of bad fats and cholesterol buildup), berries (full of antioxidents for healthy skin, digestive systems), apples (skin if full of fiber) or grapes (also full of fiber). For lunch, try soups (vegetable soup is great, esp low sodiom, plus there's your servings of veggies for the day) as soup has low calories. Add a salad composed of baby spinach, lettuce, berries and use a low-cal dressing in moderation. For dinner try fish like salmon, tuna, or tilapia. Chicken is good too, and small portions of lean meats. Add sensible sides like pasta (no it drowning in butter), steamed or raw veggies. In a hurry- buy that pre-cooked meats, or lunchmeats, and make a nice sandwich. A lot of frozen dinners are pretty decent, as far as a blanced meal. Just skip stuff that's covered in gravy or very salty (like salisbury steaks). The biggest thing I found that helps is to skip out of the fancy beverage choices-water is fine and has zero calories. Try skim milk or a small glass of juice, but not with every meal. A HUGE chunk of my daily calories were coming from my love for orange juice- an 8 oz glass has about a 100 calories, milk has more still. And how often do you have just 8 oz? Don't deprive yourself of food, just be more careful about what you eat. Don't be afraid of blowing your diet, either. Go ahead an reward yourself with a mini-candy once in a while, and if you get off track, just get right back on it again- because it might not go perfect the first time you try it. Just don't give up, and find stuff that's healthy that you enjoy eating.

i dont agree, you dont need to cut all your carbs. you need to have a healthy balance. for every carb you eat...also eat a protien....toast with peanut butter, tuna and crakcers, apple and peanuts, etc. Make sure your carbs (breads, pastas, etc.) are WHOLE GRAIN. You def. have the right idea with snacks. They are great for losing weight...b/c if you dont snack you tend to over eat during meals. and never skip breakfast. also, exercise is a key part to losing weight...and the healthly way. if you dont like hard work outs, try pilates....or a brisk walk even will help. if you have to eat something to sastify a craving...like chocolate do it after you exercise b/c your body is still buring calories.

First thing to do is lay off the carbs! Bread, rice, pasta, sugars... get rid of most of them. Second, pile on the veggies for vitamins and fiber. Third, cut portion size. Fourth, exercise. Fifth, cut your meats to be lean and the size of a deck of cards... 3oz/100g. You will lose weight in no time! Good luck!
