A 14 year old English girl was put in an 'all Asian' science tutorial in Salford. When she could not understand a word that was spoken, she 'politely asked the teacher if she could be transferred to a different group'.
The girl was held in a police cell - her shoeslaces removed - for nearly four hours 'accused of racism'.
Imagine the feelings of the girl's parents and community.
The powers that be, local and national have to answer some tough questions.

The story originally appeared in the Sunday Times.
If they do not mention the 'Asian' language involved, I assume they are terrified of reprisals, from guess who.

Where did that story come from?

If it is true then that is disgraceful.

Of course, it might not be completely true - the media are notorious for blowing things out of all proportion in order to sell more papers.

What nationality was the teacher?
