A couple weeks before he died his coat looked little funny but he acted and ate fine, then a week before he died his eating slowed down and after 2 days of that I took him to vet and he gave my dog a antibiotic shot and the next day wasnt any better so took him back to vet. He completely stopped eating and drinking and after two days at the vet with iv he died. The vet said he didnt think he was poisend and still doesnt know what killed him.His shots were up to date and it wasnt parvo, hook worms or heart worm.Anyone have any ideas? Can you poisen a dog without the vet knowing?

The symptoms that you are describing sound alot like what my cat had before she died. It wasn't poisoning, but liver cancer.

Your dog could have eaten a poison frog,or any other poison like antifreeze,a rodent that had been subjected to poisen.Your vet should have run several test, xrays to determine the problem and give meds for such.Several test could have been done in order to determine the reason for your pets ailment.Would get another vet for any future problems you may incounter with a pet.

My guess is that your dog had cancer. There are cancers that are not easily found. I hope you get over your sorrow. It was nothing you could have prevented. Bless you for caring for your dog.

I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DOG. I'VE LOST PLENTY. 3 TO BE EXACT. ITS NEVER EASY.
FIRST THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS DID HE HAVE CANCER. IT CAN COME QUICKLY. AND IF IT WAS, AT LEAST HE WENT QUICKLY.
SORRY AGAIN ABOUT YOUR LOSE
