I know I am. When everyone complains about the government it almost always boils down to congress, both sides, and I always say if we had representation it would help.

Tired of big money having representation when you do without?

Do something.

In the Senate there are:
44 Dems averaging 20.8 years in Congress
55 Reps averaging 16.1 years in Congress

these numbers begin to make it look like career politicians are in control, who have lost touch with you the citizen and are more entrenched in their own careers.

For the Senate, if you were to use two terms or 12 years in Congress as a term limit
25 Dems would need to leave and 25 Reps would need to leave.
Those Dems are averaging 27.1 years in Congress
Those Reps averaging 24.0 years.

80% of Dems in the Senate have been there more than 12 years
58% of Repubs have.

46% of Dems in the House have been there more than 12 years
32% of Repubs have.

I agree that they do nothing except vote themselves more pay once they get a new term, and yes I agree that there should be term limits then big business would find it maybe harder to purchase laws that benefit only them.

The House did a nice job on the immigration bill, but the Senate dropped the ball.
Same way with the bill on English as the official language. Senators need to be replaced.

this current congress is so bad that they almost make Bush look like he is going a good job. They do not represent anyone in this country.

the only thing they represent is corruption. I feel every single incumbent should be voted out in every election until the current bunch of thugs are out of office.

America deserves better.

Not as long as powerful and rich lobbyists provide such valuable incentives to our "representatives" in govrenment. Did you know that actual slavery still occurs in US territories in the Pacific and that it is overlooked by our government because of lobbyist contributions? Ain't that America?

they do represent us all... we voted them in there.. so they represent the voters of the state that voted for them.. .which was a majority therefore making them our representation.
