Make sure it is memorable. Take her someplace that is special to the two of you. I would follow all of the rules if you can. Ask her father for his permission, make sure you take a knee and ask the actual question "Will you marry me" (some guys don't actually ask). Maybe give her her favorite flower(s), maybe you can recreate your first date or first special moment. Maybe you could recreate the first time you realized you were going to spend the rest of your life with her, then tell her that is why you planned it. However you do it, it has to be special to the two of you not things that other people find special, you have to let her know she is your soul mate!

I would take her out to dinner, maybe go to a movie, go out and have a few drinks, then act like you are going back home but instead stop by a place that you first met and get out of the car and tell her you want to go for a walk. Bring a camera and go up to the first people you see and ask them to take a picture of you guys, when you go to have your picture taken get on your knees and ask her to marry you in from of the strangers that take your picture. Believe me she will be very surprized.

Justin, I did this once to ask a girl out. Tell me what you think! Take the message out of a fortune cookie. Replace it with one you made yourself. Simply cut a piece of paper to the correct size and hand-write, I Love You, Will You Marry Justin? Carefully insert the message in the fortune cookie. Order chinese and slip that cookie on her plate and watch her reaction! It worked perfectly for me and I bet your girl friend will think it's very romantic. Mine did!!!!!

Well, if this girl is like most girls, then she's always dreamed of the traditional "bended knee" proposal. But, no matter how you decide to ask, it won't matter! Don't stress about it being "perfect" It will already be PERFECT cause you've got each other!

First, is there any significant place that you could do it? Where you met? Where you had your first date? Where you spend a lot of time?
Do you want it to be public? or private?
There are a lot of things that you have to ask yourself.
My husband put the question in a fortune cookie. It was SOOOO sweet! I know I am partial to it, but it is one of my favourite ideas.
Whatever you do, make it special in your own little way. It needs to meaningful to the two of you. I'm sure, no matter what, that she will love it!

It really isn't about where you do it it is about the emotion you put in when you ask her. I have never seen my husband cry or be emotional until the day he asked me to marry him. It was just in his apartment, but I will never forget how he made me feel when he really opened up. If your looking for an idea of where to do it you might think about recreating your first date or bring her to a place that is special to the both of you.

Go somewhere that is special to you guys...like a restaurant or a park...just say what you feel and ask her to marry you. Keep it private and simple. You can have candles and champagne set up before hand if you want!

I love the idea my son did. Take her out to a fancy restaurant. Have it planned with the empolyees. Have the ring hidden in the desert or the champagne glass. Tell her in advance that you want to have a special dinner with her to tell her how much you love her.
Then just let her see the ring and once she says "Oh my God" ask her to marry you.

Go on a hike or walk and then have a rest stop somewhere and place the ring somewhere close by, but make sure she is not looking. You then say "hey what is that", make sure you point to it. Let her pick it up and then bam you ask her to marry you!
