having problem sorting a worksheet... keep getting an error?

error saying "This operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized" i unmerged all the headers and still getting an errror. pls help. i don't have any merged cells in the sheet now.

You probably have merged cells and not just the headers. I assume it is an Excel worksheet you are talking about, highlight all the cells that you wish to sort, do NOT include the headers, then right-click on the cells, choose "Format Cells..." click on the "Alignment" tab and make sure the "Merge Cells" is NOT checked, it could be checked in gray which means SOME of the cells are merged, if the check is black it means ALL the cells are merged. This will resolve your problem.
