This question comes at an appropriate time.
I went to an all girls catholic high school. At the time I didn't appreciate the sacrifice my parent made to send all of my sisters to all girls catholic high schools (4 of us).
I recently went to the open house of my high school because we are thinking of having my daughter, who will attend high school next year, apply for acceptance.
While sitting in the classrooms and auditorium, I felt such pain in my heart. I did well with grades, but not because I studied or applied myself, but because I was lucky enough to listen and retain information. Had I made an effort I think my life would be different.
I am not one that dwells on the past. And I am very fortunate to have a great husband and two lovely girls. I realized how lucky and fortunate I was to be able to attend that school.
Now I look forward to helping my daughter understand and realize what an excellent opportunity this is. My hope is that she does not make the same mistake I did. I think my experience will help.
So yes, I do recommend it.
Hope this helps

Went to an all girls school and hated it. Hated the school and the fact that there were no boys around but loved the opportunities I was presented with. Would definitely send my daughters to all girls schools in highschool. There they have the environment to excel.
My husband went to an all boys school and feels the same way.

I went to an all girls Catholic school. It was great. You didn't have to worry about wearing makeup or shaving your legs. All you had to do was worry about learning as much as you could and you could remain focused on your work.
What it did for me was help me to become a very smart, independent woman who could take care of herself without having to depend on anyone else.
It doesn't mean you leave the school not ever wanting to be with men, but it does ensure that you can compete against men in any field. I'd say 90 percent of my classmates finished college and many still went on to get Masters and Ph.D degrees.
One girl is currently working for Hillary Clinton. Another is a physicist.
All Girls schools create very strong, intelligent women.
Give it a try!

I go to an all girls highschool but i went to a mixed primary school
i definitely would say never send a child only to a single-sex school their whole lifes cus being around the other sex helps to build character and helps you out in later life. I's say its good4 highschopol tho, as much as i didn't want 2 go 2 an all girls it does help with desecrations etc.

I haven't, sorry.
I don't think I would like an all girls school, though, because I have a lot of friends who are boys.
