Try Valerian Root a natural herb that you take half an hour before you want to go to sleep.......Here's a little blurb off the net.....

Valerian root is used in the traditional medicine of many cultures as a mild sedative and to aid the induction of sleep. Valerian is a native plant both of Europe and North America. Valeriana officinalis is the species most commonly used in northern Europe and still retains its official pharmacopoeial status although valerian root is most commonly encountered as an ingredient of herbal medicines. Valerian is a good example of both the negative and positive aspects of herbal drugs. The considerable variation in the composition and content of valerian root products as well as the instability of some of its constituents pose problems for standardization but the range of components which contribute to its overall activity suggest valerian may correct a variety of underlying causes of conditions which necessitate a general tranquilizing effect.

What's in Valerian root and how does it work?
The major constituents of valerian root include sesquterpenoids, valepotriates, bornyl acetate and valerenic acid. Multiple compounds in valerian root have pharmacologic activity. Valerenic acid has been shown to inhibit enzyme-induced breakdown and the inhibition of reuptake of the inhibitory neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain. Basically this means that the brain chemical GABA can last longer and lead to sedation.......

You can get this at any health food store.....

Good Night............

I am 13 and went through this when I was 12. It was awful! I would fall asleep at 4AM after lying in bed for 6 hours and get up at 7. It passed, thank heavens! It only lasted a couple of months. Here's what you can do: -Have you heard of Bynadril(sp?) My doctor told my mom to give me childrens' bynadril. It's not over the counter or anything. You can get it at most pharmacy's. It's just an allergy medicine that helps you go to sleep. You take them about 40 minutes before bed and it totally puts you to sleep. -Eat turkey, warm milk, or tofu before bed. DON'T eat caffine, sugar or grain. Eat dinner early if you can. -Don't go on the computer before bed... instead watch a movie or read a book. -Have a glass of water by your bed so you don't have to go get some if you are thirsty. DITCH THE CLOCK! -When you are lying in bed, count sheep or picture yourself climbing up a winding staircase. -Think about your hands and feat floating.... -If you are lying in your bed, sleepless, get a change of scenery. Go sleep in the guest bedroom, or on the couch. That can make a HUGE difference! -Turn on quiet classical music. -If you still can't sleep, go curl up on the couch with a glass of milk watching TV. Don't worry about the insomnia. Don't worry! SOOO many people have the exact same problem! Hope that could help!

Exercise, eat better, don´t eat too much before going to bed, some soft sleeping pill 3 times a week for a few weeks, relaxing exercises before bed, maybe praying would work for you. A warm bath is also good. Milk has been known for its sleep inducing qualities. And most important of all, try to feel peace in your mind and stick as much as you can to a same hour to go to bed, this way your body will get used to it. I should change my nickname, i´m not sleepless anymore.

Sleeplessness is usually associated with emotional or mental tension, anxiety, depression, work problems, financial stress or unsatisfactory sex life. While insomnia is not usually related to any physical illness there are exceptions
When you consume too little fat, cholesterol or sugars, your body ‘punishes’ you with depressions and / or sleeplessness, through receptors in the brain, to force you to consume more of these essential nutrients.

Elevated blood-protein levels impair neurotransmitter metabolism regulating sleep and feelings of happiness. Beta-carbolines from prepared food (proteinacous prepared food in particular), opioid peptides from wheat- and dairy products and cadmium from vegetables and grains do exactly the same.

To be happy and sleep well : Consume as little (especially at night) prepared food, vegetables, grains, milk and wheat-products. (You don't need these at all ;see WaiSays.
Wake up when the sun rises, and eat as much fruits as you want and sufficient fresh raw egg yolk (mixed with avocado) or fresh raw salmon. (raw animal food requires an hour rest to digest by the way!)

Great 'happy fruits' are : dried date, -fig, papaya, banana, strawberries, sweet cherries, orange, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and hazelnuts. (for optimizing serotonine production)

The basic difference between Sleep and sleeplessness is "lessness". So the trick would be to get rid of "lessness".

The ancient Romans would cut out the words "lessness" in the bark of the Oramora tree and then beat it fifty times with the feathers of the pink breasted ostritch. This resulted in instant and deep slumber, so much so that they would have to have two men to carry the sleeping man back to his village which could be upto 50 miles away.

The ancient Chinese were more ingenous. Fifty five wizened and old chinese ladies would shout "hoo hian chou" (which meant lessness in ancient Chinese) to no one in particular. Upon hearing the fifty fifth time, the man nearest to them would fall into deep slumber.

Now which one would you prefer to follow??
