No, you definitely can't let the 6 month old puppy in the room with the new puppies - the mother would likely kill him. She needs privacy and peace with her new litter.
How long ago was this dog bred? It takes 9 weeks after breeding for the litter to be born.
By the way, it's extremely bad for your dog to be bred 2 heats in a row. Her poor body hasn't had time to recover from the last litter. If you want to keep this dog healthy, do her a huge favour and get her spayed. Cuts down greatly on the chances of her getting cancer.

If she's that big already you may only have 1-3 weeks left. You didn't say what kind of dog so it's hard to say. Chis for example get HUGE and so do all dogs but small dogs expand more and sooner than a large dog will. Had you been careful and had her spayed like a good owner this wouldn't have happened. And you should have known she was in heat and taken preventive measures. The 6 month old should not be allowed near the puppies or he could have his face bitten off!!
lol @ jaxchick2... Nicely put!!

Well it takes around 63 days so if she looks that big and her nipples are really swollen that bad I am sure you don't have much longer to wait.
The puppy may be a little hyper around the puppies and the mom will get annoyed with the puppie if it tries to come near the news one. You can Keep the puppy just make sure he doesn't get too close to the mother and the puppies until they are weened

If you have known for about 2 weeks she has about 6-7 weeks left before she has the new litter. Keep the 6 month old puppy away from the new litter, and the mom. The mother dog will want privacy, and won't want any dogs near her new pups.

If you know when she got caught, you can figure 58 to 62 days. If you did not intentually breed her, you need to be more careful about her getting with other dogs. The mother might not like the 6 month old pup around, but I can't see the pup hurting the new babies. You should not let her get pg every heat, that is so hard on a dog.

she may hurt the 6 mon. old puppy so be careful or it may kill the new puppies by trying to play. a dog usually stay pregnant for 62 days. each dog is different. i had one that stayed preg. only 58 days. ive heard that they are pregnant between 52 and 62 days, what the vet says anyway. if she is really showing now she is probrably close to time to go. she will get milk close to time too so watch for that. their temp. will drop to aprox.98 degrees within 24 hrs of birth also. normal temp for a dog is around 100 degrees. hope this helps!! good luck!!!

First, take her to the vet for an x-ray, and schedule an appt. for her too get spayed while you are there. There are so many dogs getting euthanized every year.. dont add to it please.
After you get a better idea how far along she is (the x-ray), check her nipples, they may leak when squeezed (gently!) as she gets close, her temp should also drop a degree or two within 24 hours of delivery. Discharge, diareah, frequent trips outside... its VERY close.
Dont let anyone around the new babies at first... its not safe. One or many dogs could be hurt... fights, disease, numerous things could go bad, quick... uggg!

The pregnancy lasts about 62 days. It is OK to keep older puppies with younger ones. Just make sure to watch them carefully and stop any bullying.
