Drink lots of water and juices and milk! Eat more fruits and salads. When you do eat something like pasta, breads, starches, eat untill you are comfortable and not stuffed. I am doing that right now and have lost 10 pounds already. And most importantly, don't eat if your ont hungry. Small healthy snack. And don't eat after 8 p.m. Your body begins it's shut down process for the night and if you eat late, this could be a problem.

Step 1: Eat less.
Step 2: Move more.
The same basic all natural plan that has helped the msot people for the longest time. Most 'diets' are a way to play games with step 1.
You can help yourself along by eating better foods. The rule of thumb is to avoid processing. The more a food item is heated, enriched, shaped, dehydrated, filled with preservatives or colorants, artifically flavored, etc., the less 'food' it becomes. Soda is far less helpful than things like water, milk, juice, or even wine is for you.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. Read the 8 week cholesterol cure - it's more about eating habits - I lost a lot of weight, never went hungry and reduced my cholesterol - was quite happy with it! Nothing special about it...no rigorous menu or exercise plan - just common sense approaches and nutritional information to understand what you are doing when you eat.

Eat only raw food (no meat though). This will cause you to get more natural vitimans, etc. Also you will eat less, it is hard to eat as much raw onions on a pound for pound basis than it woudl be to eat pasta.
