My fiance and I met on FindSomeone.com about 3 years ago and it was a free site. Have heard that it now charges for use but cannot verify this. Check it out as it could still be free. There are lots of users/losers on here also, as with all services like this. But there are some real people on there also who are not into playing games and most are mature and not young kids.
