I was never in PCP but it's quite challenging. As far as I know they keep you there for up to 2 weeks. When you get to your training platoon you may be put on diet rations to help you lose wieght if you're over, or double rations to help gain weight if you're under. Both will help with your overall fitness immensely.
By the end of Boot you shouldn't even have an issue for the rest of your enlistment as long as you maintain your level of fitness.

I would continue to work out and increase your pull-ups. It is very possible to increase by 3 or even 4 if you work hard enough. Good luck and stay motivated.

DON'T LET YOURSELF GET INTO THE PCP! i've heard guys who go in there can come out pretty traumatized. If pullups are your only problem, get on a lat-pulldown machine and start doing reps for half your weight. as long as your problem is just lack of muscle and not overweightness, you can make 3 pullups in this time with a little effort. If you're overweight though, you better drop those pounds. good luck and get some!

pcp isn't where you want to be. my suggestion would be to lose the weight (i'm assuming your over not under). The guy who suggested working the lats is right... do everything you can to get your three in. Usually it's that you're bottom heavy...go on a diet, run a lot...this will help get rid of some of the excess baggage below...then get those three in. Good luck..semper fi..

Usually if you can't do pull ups you are given a secondary trial of 30 push ups to do to pass.
