Where can I get a puggle puppy that is within a reasonable driving distance from Washington D.C? I already have researched the breed, so I don't need any info from all the designer dog haters out there.

Thanks!

I thought I specifically stated I didn't want to hear from the Puggle haters. Ok, so they are not recognized as an offical breed...yet. Look at all of you so quick to jump on that technicality. Get a life. I've already decided I'm getting one, so your hateful responses mean nothing. Thanks to everyone else for the real info.

Remember first that Puggles are NOT a breed-they are mixes that people charge WAY too much money for. There is no such thing as adesigner dog-they are not accessories. People intentionally breeding mixes and adding to the pet over-population are not good breeders by most professional standards. You can probably find one at your local shelter or Petfinder.org which lists local rescue organizations based on your zip code. If you must buy one-remember to not pay more than the dog is worth. A mixed breed is probably worth about $100-$150 if proper veterinary care has been provided. Make sure the pup has been to a veterinarian, that the parents were properly cared for before breeding. Also, pups should remain with their litter until about 8 weeks of age and should be well-socialized with people by then. Both Pugs and Beagles can be strong-willed dogs and need at least basic obedience training.

These two sites are good and most even offer shipping of your pet. My niece got a puggle of the pet finder site. She had trouble finding a puggle, but if you look under pug, you may luck out, some do not recognize puggles as a breed yet.

I'm sure there are plenty of mutts available at your local animal shelter.

A "puggle" is not a breed.

The novelty is beginning to were off of these mixed breed dogs and they are starting to show up at shelters and rescues.
Check with petfinder.org you will be able to see all the mixed breeds available to your area in shelters near you. MD,DC and VA. It will cost you alot less also and the dog will have been spayed or neutered already and upto date on shots.

I bought a puggle actually from a breeder online!! It was $250 to have him flown in to the local airport & what a wonderful dog!

I would research the breeders online as well in local papers!

Good Luck!

I have no idea of what a puggle is (is it a pug and a poodle)

Gee, with all that research, you should know it is not a breed.

YET???? LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They will never be recognized in our lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Keep hoping though!! Personally, I do not care if you spend your money on a overpriced mutt, but implying that they are a BREED makes you look like the typical person who pays for overpriced mutts!!! They ALL think they are a breed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
