Hello,he could have a kidney infection...which is likley in a dog of this age.animals sometimes have issues they have never had before when they get over the age of 10 years.....Are you sure he hasnt pee'ed someplace unknowingly....if not, I may call the vet and ask their opinion by the phone. This doesnt sound healthy,as my dog pee's like 10 times a day (he loves water) and if he didnt I would wonder what was wrong with him....good luck,I am sure it is nothing serious...but I an not a vet and I am sure they could pin point you in the right direction hon
Thanks

specific, that's a topic and no, i did no longer have a similar subject yet an identical one with a male who does no longer urinate after neutering surgical technique. Do touch your Vet as there may be a topic; despite the fact that if, she may be uncomfortable approximately urinating considering she has some soreness from the surgical technique and assuming the area might reason further soreness. Your Vet will pass a catheter to make certain that each thing is working properly and despite the fact that if that's, that's merely via soreness. Your Vet might advise leaving her on the well being center. they are going to provide her IV fluids till she is so finished she is compelled to get rid of (a minimum of that's what they did with my male) and could be courteous adequate to grant a unfastened tub to scrub her up till now she comes domicile.

No it is not normal. Anything outside of the way your dog usually acts is not normal and either a call or a visit to the vet is in order. Every time. Prevention is much cheaper than a cure.

He could have any number of problems and the fact that he's so old is even more concerning.

This is an emergency.
Not going for that long combined with his age is bad news. You need to get to a vet PRONTO!!!
I'm a Vet Tech and have seen animals die of this, go now!
If you can't pay, contact the SPCA or animal control. They either have low cost vet care, know where to find low cost vet care, or will put him to sleep for you.
Seriously, he is in big trouble!

Kidney problems are very common in older dogs. Also, dogs can get bladder stones (mine did) which can migrate into the urethra and block it so that they can't urinate.

I would advise you to call your vet immediately. They will probably tell you to bring your dog in for an examination.

Good luck.

If it is a male dog, have his prostate checked. Mine quit urinating and he had an enlarged prostate, it was cured with antibotics.
Maybe a uti or a kidney infection.

Good luck
