My dog is a full breed pomeranian and was breed with another full breed pomeranian. She is now pregnant. She was producing milk and seemed to have contractions sunday night. She was very uncomfortable and was not acting like herself. Well, the contractions stopped by monday morning. Today she is not producing milk. She is panting and scratching at her blanket. But other than that she is back to herself today. Her temperature is 100.4. Is their something wrong or do dogs have false labor? She has had pups before and did not have any complications.

I dont understand why people take the time to ask questions about there animals that they love when they could be on the way to the vet.... If u was having a baby and having a hard time wouldnt u be at the hospital?

Your best bet is to at least call a vet. If she was whelping and has now stopped, she needs to be checked out. The fact that she's stopped producing milk is another thing that concerns me.

Good luck!

Vet now.
It could be flase labor but you need to take her in and find out.
If she was in labor and it stopped you need to know what is going on. Is she over due? how many days along is she?
Her temp is normal.
